Brooklyn Rockwerks is the studio of sculptor Adam Distenfeld. He is a graduate of Sarah Lawrence College and received his MFA from Hunter College in 1998. He is a lifelong New Yorker, raised in the East Village, and currently makes sculptures and fountains in Brooklyn.

The sculptures are made with industrial tools used to subtract the interior of natural rocks which creates and internal meditative space. The natural rocks are reclaimed from New York City construction sites and are put to reuse as art objects.
